A calm, practical initiation into Reiki for self-care, nervous system support, and hands-on practice—rooted in tradition and taught with modern consent-based care.
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on energy practice that supports relaxation, resilience, and connection to your own inner steadiness. In Level 1, you learn how to work with Reiki in a simple, traditional way—primarily through self-treatment and foundational hands positions.
This is not “performative spirituality.” It’s a practice of presence.
And it’s not a replacement for medical or mental health care. Think of Reiki as supportive care—something that can live alongside the rest of your wellbeing toolbox.
That doesn’t require hours a day
For working with others respectfully
Without needing to believe anything “perfectly”
And tools for emotions and overwhelm
Body, mind, and spirit—no prerequisites needed
Describe Reiki in grounded language (including what it is and what it isn’t)
Work with the Reiki Principles (Gokai) as a daily practice for steadiness and self-leadership
Perform a complete self-Reiki treatment sequence (start-to-finish) with confidence
Offer a basic hands-on Reiki session for others using clear consent + boundaries
Prepare for sessions using simple energetic hygiene: centering, grounding, and clearing
Understand what attunement is and how to practice sustainably after class
We move slowly enough for your nervous system to stay on board and quickly enough to keep momentum.
A typical flow includes:
• Opening circle + agreements
• Reiki basics: history, lineage, and the foundation of hands-on practice
• The Reiki Principles as a daily practice
• Energetics 101
• Ethics + scope of practice: what’s appropriate for Level 1, and what isn’t
• Preparation and aftercare: centering, grounding, clearing, and closing a session
• Attunement + integration guidance
• Self-treatment: full sequence + practice
• Treating others: hands positions + practice rounds
• Q&A, closing circle, and next steps

Feeling more grounded after self-treatment
Sleeping more deeply or feeling more regulated
Having a simple practice to return to during stressful seasons
Feeling empowered to support loved ones with clear boundaries
I teach Reiki with a balance of tradition and real-life practicality. My style is calm, clear, and consent-based—with lots of practice time and support so you leave feeling capable.
I care about:
No mystifying the process
So Reiki stays safe, respectful, and empowering
Nervous-system-friendly pacing
Clear scope of practice, no grand claims
Everything you need to know about the training
No. This training is designed for beginners. You’ll be guided step-by-step and you’ll have plenty of practice time.
That’s common. Sensitivity can be subtle at first. We focus on practice, presence, and learning the structure—sensation is not a requirement.
You’ll receive a certificate of completion for Reiki Level 1 after completing the program. We’ll discuss what Level 1 authorizes you to do and how to practice ethically.
You’ll learn a basic hands-on session and how to work with consent and boundaries. We’ll also cover scope of practice so you know what’s appropriate at Level 1.
A journal, water bottle, and comfortable clothing. You may also want to bring a yoga mat, blanket and pillow for comfort.
