An immersive training for students who want to deepen their practice, build confidence teaching, and leave with a clear path to lead class—supported by experienced instructors and a grounded community.
YA-200hr RYT PROGRAM | FALL 2026
90 min online zoom meetings Tuesday evenings Sept-January
IN-PERSON IMMERSION, NOVEMBER 4-18 | GARZA, COSTA RICA
There’s something about stepping out of your life—your routines, your noise, your roles—and into a space where you can actually hear yourself again. This training is built for that.
Not just to learn how to teach yoga, but to experience what it means to live it—in your body, in your choices, in the way you meet yourself each day.
Set between the depth of online integration and a two-week immersion in the raw, grounding beauty of Garza, Costa Rica, this journey is designed to move you from simply practicing yoga… to embodying it.
You’ll wake with the rhythm of the sun. Move your body before the world asks anything of you. Sit in stillness long enough to notice what’s underneath the surface.
And from there, everything begins to shift.
This is a space where yoga and Ayurveda are not separate teachings, but a lived experience. Where you begin to understand your own patterns—your energy, your tendencies, your imbalances—and learn how to support yourself with intention rather than force.
The days are full, but not in a draining way. They’re full in a way that nourishes.
Practice that grounds you. Theory that actually lands. Conversations that stay with you long after they end.
You won’t just be told how to teach—you’ll understand why you teach, and what you’re really offering when you step into that role.
Because the truth is, people don’t come to yoga for perfect cues or sequences. They come for presence. For regulation. For something real.
And that starts with you.
This training asks you to meet yourself honestly. To move through resistance. To build consistency. To see where you hold back—and gently, but firmly, move beyond it.
It’s not about becoming someone new. It’s about returning to what’s already there—and learning how to trust it.
By the time you leave Costa Rica, you won’t just have a certification. You’ll have a deeper relationship with yourself. A clear, grounded understanding of how to hold space for others. And a way of living that extends far beyond the mat.
Teach with confidence — sequencing, cueing, theming, and hands-on coaching (if included).
Understand the body — anatomy + safe, intelligent progressions.
Build consistency — personal practice structure + lifestyle rhythms.
Join a community — mentorship, peers, and a supportive container.
Leave with assets — class templates, playlists, themes, and a teaching plan.
Module 1: Anatomy & Kinesiology (45 hrs) – Yoga instructors must have a solid understanding of structural anatomy and kinesiology to ensure their students’ safety.
Module 2: Teaching Asana (125 hrs) – Learn to accurately identify proper technique and muscular engagement. Understanding correct form is essential for teaching asana safely and effectively, preventing potential student injuries.
Module 3: Yoga Philosophy (30 hrs) – In this module, students will be introduced to a few of the important classical yoga texts of India.
Module 4: Pranayama & Meditation (16 hrs) – Students are introduced to Ayurveda, the Indian Life Science, and guided through the proper techniques of 8 different breathing exercises.
Module 5: Subtle Energy (16 hrs) – Discuss the subtle energy present in nature, in our environment, and in ourselves, and in turn some of its positive and negative effects on our physical and emotional bodies.
Module 6: Sequencing & Class Planning (20 hrs) – An in-depth study on several modern styles of yoga, including the sequences of Ashtanga, Hot Yoga, and the Sivananda series.
Module 7: The Yoga Profession (8 hrs) – Everything you need to know about the business of yoga.
The middle of the day is a mix of learning + integration: modules, discussion, journaling, and time to eat, rest, or take a short beach/pool break.
Afternoons bring hands-on skill-building (sequencing labs, cueing practice, feedback rounds) so the learning doesn’t stay theoretical.
Evenings feel grounded and spacious: a softer practice, reflection, and early nights that actually feel restorative.
The feeling of being held by a steady rhythm: practice, study, eat, rest, repeat—without the constant pull of “normal life.”
The moment teaching starts to feel natural:
When cues land, nervousness settles, and presence becomes the point.
The simplicity of the setting—beach, sun, warm air—and how that stripped-down environment made everything more honest.
The people: the conversations that stick, the laughter between sessions, and the sense of leaving with a real community (not just a certification).
Meals included: Included as part of the retreat package (hotel + food)
Dietary needs: Please let us know about any dietary needs/restrictions that you might have when you apply, so we can accommodate them where possible.

No. You don’t need to be “advanced” or extra flexible to do this training. You’ll be guided through foundations, alignment, and safe progressions, with options offered for different bodies and experience levels. What matters most is consistency, willingness to learn, and being open to feedback.
That’s totally okay. Many students join primarily to deepen their practice, learn more about the body and yoga philosophy, and build confidence—without immediate plans to teach. If you do choose to teach later, you’ll have the skills, practicum hours, and support to take that next step.
Expect full, immersive days with a steady rhythm: morning practice (asana, breathwork, meditation), daytime modules (Ayurveda + training content), and hands-on labs in the afternoon (sequencing, cueing, practice teaching, feedback). Evenings are typically quieter for integration, reflection, and rest. (A detailed schedule will be shared in your info package.)
Plan for breathable practice clothes, a light layer for early mornings/evenings, sandals + walking shoes, sun protection (hat/sunscreen), swimsuit, and any personal items you like for rest/integration (journal, book, earplugs). Bring your usual yoga essentials (mat if preferred, water bottle). A full packing list will be included in the travel guide.
Accommodation is based at Garza Hotel. The retreat package includes shared accommodation; single rooms may be available on request (limited). Room placement is typically handled after your deposit is received, and we’ll do our best to match preferences where possible. Pricing is outlined in the application/info package (training tuition + accommodation/meal package).
You’ll fly into the nearest major airport for the region (details provided in the travel guide), then continue by ground transfer to Garza. We’ll share recommended transfer options, timing tips, and what to expect on arrival. If you’re arranging your own transport, we’ll provide the hotel address and arrival instructions.
If payment plans are available for your cohort, you’ll see the options and terms in the application process/info package. If you don’t see a plan listed, reach out—sometimes alternative arrangements can be offered depending on timing and availability.
Cancellation and transfer terms are shared during the application process and in your info package. In general, deposits are used to hold your spot and may be non-refundable; other payments may have refund windows depending on timing. Please review the written policy before paying, and ask questions if anything is unclear.
After training, you’ll leave with practical tools (sequencing frameworks, teaching reps, and feedback) plus a clear next-steps path for your practice and teaching. Support may include continued community connection, mentorship options, and guidance on integrating what you learned—details will be shared for your cohort.
