01| Be Present
We all love capturing fun moments and enjoying class with our friends, but we’d love for you to stay present during our time together! Keep phones tucked away, save conversations for after class, follow along with the instructor, and stay for the full session to help everyone have the best experience possible. Your class time is your special “me time,” and there’s something truly magical about the energy when we all flow as one community!
02| Be Kind
Show care and respect for your fellow Sweat Fam, and treat others the way you want to be treated. Lift each other up to ensure all team members and community members feel respected, valued, safe, and supported—all love, no hate.
03| Be Clean
Practice good personal hygiene. Be considerate of those around you, and help keep our shared space in tip-top shape for everyone to enjoy.
04| Be On Time
Out of respect and safety for your fellow classmates and the instructor, classes start promptly and latecomers are not permitted. Arrive with enough time to store your belongings and prepare for class. Your studio time is a gift to yourself – make time for you!
Where are you located? We are located on the second floor at 467 Speers Rd 2nd Floor, Oakville, ON L6K 3S4.
Phones ringing create a significant distraction for our students, as the sound carries throughout the studio. Answering calls can also reduce the quality of service we provide to clients visiting in person. We do answer the phone during less busy periods, but for general inquiries, please email info@myigita.com. We respond to emails promptly. If you can’t find answers on our website and your matter is time-sensitive, we recommend requesting a callback using the BOT in the bottom right corner of our website. This sends us immediate notifications, and we’ll call you back as soon as possible.
I am new and don’t know how to register for class.
Before coming to your first class, we encourage you to create an account here to save time upon arrival. As a new student, you’ll likely be prompted to purchase our “$60 for 3 weeks” intro special.
If you received a gift certificate or bought a Groupon, simply bypass this prompt and look for the “register as unpaid” link.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for your first class. This gives you time to find parking and get acquainted with the studio before your session begins.
I’ve never done yoga before, and I’m not sure which class I can go to.
All our classes welcome beginners. However, consider your current fitness level and listening skills when choosing a class. Our instructors provide detailed verbal guidance but limited physical demonstrations. You’ll rely primarily on audio cues and observing fellow practitioners. Classes vary widely—from dynamic sessions with 60+ poses to gentle classes with fewer than 10. Click on class names in our schedule for detailed descriptions of what to expect.
For those new to yoga, we highly recommend our Yoga 101 series. This relaxed, workshop-style class offers plenty of opportunities to ask questions. We cover etiquette, expectations, and alignment principles throughout the 6-session course. It’s ideal for learning modifications if you have mobility issues or injuries. While starting at the beginning is best, you’re welcome to join at any point and repeat sessions as desired.
What happens if I’m late for class?
If you haven’t checked in before class begins, we may give your spot to a standby student if the class is full. You can self-sign in using our app to show you’re on your way, and we’ll hold your spot. For arrivals more than 10 minutes late, admission is at the instructor’s discretion—some welcome latecomers, others don’t. To avoid uncertainty, please aim to arrive on time!
What do I need to bring?
We recommend bringing a water bottle and a hand towel for sweat. A towel is versatile—it provides padding for knees and can double as a strap. If you have a yoga mat, bring it, though we provide mats for those without. Classes are done barefoot or in socks, making iGita a “barefoot” facility. Please remove outdoor shoes at the bottom of the stairs and place them neatly in a cubby. Some students bring flip-flops and a change of clothes—particularly useful after Hot classes when you’ll be sweaty
I’ve done Yoga & Pilates before, but am new to your studio. Do you have a free trial class?
Not exactly. We offer free classes for members to bring friends as part of our referral program. However, we have better options for first-time students to experience our studio:
Or try both options for $90
I’ve been to the studio before, and I have purchased classes, but the system is still asking me to pay when I go to sign up for class?
There are several possible reasons for this, but if you believe you have class passes and you’re being asked to pay, don’t! You can still reserve your spot as “unpaid” through our website. We’ll likely resolve the issue before you arrive.
Will I be charged if I sign up for class and don’t make it in?
For the yoga, pilates and large group fitness classes, generally we do not charge a fee, you are simply marked as absent and your credits returned to you. However, please remember that we limit class sizes, so if a class is full and waitlisted, we reserve the right to apply a $10 fee to repeat offenders.
For the small group classes such as Pilates reformer and Lagree, if you fail to cancel your reservation and are a “no show” we will take your class pass. We do allow you to cancel or reschedule without penalty 12 hours before the class start time. You may do this online yourself. If you wish to cancel within the 12 hour window (we understand life happens), please do so by emailing or through the chat bot on your device. 905 338 9642.
